Djibouti hosted the third Africa–Türkiye Ministerial Review Conference on 3 November 2024, a strategic multilateral cooperation platform bringing together African Union member states and Türkiye.
The meeting reviewed implementation of Africa–Türkiye cooperation from 2022 to 2024 and examined ways to strengthen political, economic and social relations based on mutual interest, equality and respect for national sovereignty.
Priority areas included peace and security, trade and investment, industrial development, education, youth and women’s empowerment, infrastructure, agriculture and resilient health systems.
Participants also reviewed Türkiye’s support to African Union peace and security efforts and peacekeeping missions operating in the Central African Republic, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
