Technological change based on the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not without effects on economies (productivity, production). it also affects the world of work (replacements, working conditions, regulation, etc.) Countries are developing their employment policies to accompany their structural transformations (key dimensions: access, quality, quantity linked to jobs).updating these policies should integrate new economic, social and technological changes with regard to the links with employment and HR management. Hence the importance of analysing and anticipating the potential effects of new technologies such as generative AI on jobs. (Supporting the right transitions) KEY FINDINGS The digital divide temporarily protects low-income countries from immediate exposure to automation, but risks compromising productivity gains via generative AI. AI workers often remain invisible, as the bulk of assignments are carried out via open outsourcing platforms (sometimes hired without an employment contract). Job quality may be affected by the reduced autonomy of workers, the increased pace of work or the reduced ability of workers to comment on the organisation of their work.
