The AUB–UNESCO Media Development Workshop in Mauritius entered its second day with practical demonstrations of cross-border collaboration in climate-change and disaster-risk-reduction storytelling, combined with peer-to-peer exchanges.

The session was facilitated by Gisele Nnemi Nga, Executive Producer for the francophone beneficiary media in Comoros and Mauritius. Demonstrations of the co-productions generated discussion among participants on production choices, sound and image quality, and editing.

Technical recommendations were made to improve the productions before their broadcast on participating television stations.

Participants also travelled to an area outside the city affected by disasters, which featured in the francophone production. The field visit was coordinated by Emmanuel Wongibe, trainer for the francophone beneficiary media in Comoros and Mauritius and Deputy Director General of CRTV, together with the authority responsible for coordinating disaster-risk communication with the media and local communities.
