The African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) has launched the fourth edition of its Radio and Television Production Competition for 2025–2026. The competition celebrates creativity, cultural richness and excellence in African audiovisual production, with entries reserved for AUB member organisations.

The competition aims to promote professional standards, strengthen cooperation and exchange among AUB members, enrich Africa’s audiovisual heritage, improve the international competitiveness of African content and encourage cultural and educational programmes designed for African audiences.

Entries are accepted in English, French, Portuguese and Arabic. Each organisation may submit one programme per category in radio and television. Categories include documentary, magazine and report. Themes include African success stories, migration, sport and development, African heritage, artificial intelligence, peace, AUB yesterday-today-tomorrow, and femicide in Africa.

Magazine and documentary entries must be 26 minutes long; reports must be 2 minutes. Entries must have been produced during 2024–2025. The deadline is 31 January 2026.
