Yaoundé will host the AUB-UNESCO SUMMIT ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MEDIA from 4 to 6 March 2024. African media as a whole face the major challenge of managing technological advances on a daily basis. The AUB-UNESCO SUMMIT ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MEDIA will also bring together leading scientists in the field of artificial intelligence to present and compare research findings and their applications in media. The African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) are honoured to facilitate this crucial dialogue. Discussions will focus on the ethical issues surrounding the automation of editorial processes and the impact of AI on the diversity and integrity of information. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), both directly concerned with these issues, will also take part. In addition to opportunities to build strategic partnerships, participants will reflect on shaping the future of African media, embracing AI as a powerful tool to innovate, inform and inspire. Join us in Yaoundé for this major event, which will mark an important step towards a smarter and more sustainable media future in Africa.
