The African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) is strengthening a partnership with the Development Research Center of China’s National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) to support media development in Africa.
An NRTA delegation led by Deputy Director Shi Jie visited the AUB Secretariat in Dakar, Senegal, where the two organisations discussed cooperation in key areas of media development and stronger links between African and Chinese media.
AUB Director General Grégoire Ndjaka highlighted the Union’s progress in strengthening the capacity of African broadcasting organisations so they can remain competitive while responding effectively to national information needs.
Priority areas discussed included operationalising the AUB Training Centre through modern equipment and training support, children’s programme production, co-organising an Africa–China Media Conference and NRTA participation in AUB’s 15th General Assembly in June 2025.
