The African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) and RT Academy have launched a practical technical training programme designed to strengthen African broadcasters’ ability to produce high-quality content with international potential.

The online programme starts on 11 November 2025 and runs over three weeks. It focuses on advanced graphic creation, motion graphics, modern editing, filming techniques and the technical foundations of professional audiovisual production.

Four specialised sessions are led by international trainers from RT. The programme responds to a shortage of specialised technical skills in African media and seeks to transform professionals into content creators capable of meeting global production standards.

The initiative forms part of AUB’s broader strategy to strengthen media skills, international cooperation and African storytelling through practical professional development.
