The Director General of the African Union of Broadcasting met in Nairobi with the new Director of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) for discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the two organisations.
KBC is a founding member of AUB. Relations had weakened during a period when the Kenyan broadcaster had no Director General, and the meeting was intended to renew institutional ties.
The AUB Director General invited the new KBC leadership to participate in the Union’s General Assembly and encouraged renewed engagement with AUB activities and cooperation programmes.
The KBC Director welcomed the initiative, praised the work already carried out by AUB and expressed support for continued strategic cooperation.
