FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AUB MEDIA CONTEST DEADLINE POSPONED TO APRIL 30, 2023 The African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) announces the POSTPONEMENT of the DEADLINE for its Media Contest in « Radio and TV Productions for the year 2022/2023 », to April 30, 2023. The Contest, which seeks to recognize outstanding journalism and media coverage worldwide, was originally scheduled to close on April 22, 2023 at 11 :59 PM (GMT+1), but will now remain open for submissions until 30th April 2023. The decision to postpone the deadline was made in response to the HIGH INTEREST in the Contest and the feedback from participants who have requested additional submission time. As the leading Broadcasting Union in Africa, the AUB wants to ensure that everyone who wants to participate in this first Media Contest has the chance to do so. We hope that extending the deadline will make it easier for competitors to submit their entries. REMINDER The Contest is open in the following categories : ❖ Africa and the challenges of technological transformations in the world ; ❖ Cancer control and Hope ; ❖ Treasures of Africa (including various topics : cultural, economic and, Tourism) ❖ Violence used against Women ; ❖ Radio and Peace spreading ; Only one program is selected from each of the five items produced during 2022 and 2023 (the first quarter). – The attached forms must be completed for each program fully and accurately. All forms should be sent to the AUB’s Center of Content Exchange including the electronic links and the video file format to these programs of the competition before the end of April this year.
