Sundowns struggled to qualify, securing their place in a penalty shootout against Equatorial Guinea’s Malabo King’s after a goalless draw in extra time. The Brazilians, also undefeated in this tournament, intend to lift the trophy, as did in 2016 the men’s section of the South African club in the Champions League.
