The Seminar which was jointly organized by 2M-SOREAD http://www.2m.ma/fr/ and the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB), took place from 09 to 14 April 2018, in Casablanca. The massive advent of social networks in recent years has not only thrilled the spotlight on the Web. It strongly contested the first place occupied by the mainstream media as information tools for citizens.
WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter or Snapchat, among others, the massive arrival of networks and Mobile devices such as smartphones and Iphones has completely reversed the hierarchy within the media landscape.

Beyond disrupting private and professional operating habits, these new tools at the disposal of the citizen have moved users from simple users to producers and publishers of information. How can journalists make digestible contents from a mere audio recorded with their mobile phone or an Iphone? http://www.bbc.co.uk/academy/journalism/skills/filming-and-recording/article/art20130702112133386 These preoccupations and many others were at the centre of a week-long training program which took place from 9 to 14th April 2018, at the Headquaters of 2M- SOREAD, in Casablanca, Morocco. The training kicked off on Monday 09 April 2018 with a tour within the premices of 2M Radio &Television. After welcome speech by Mrs. Souad Moumni, the Heaf of Training Program at 2M, participants had various workshops on “How to promote radio programs via social networks”, “2M Radio & TV on the satellite”, as well as “The use of the camera in news making”. Emphasis was laid on the themes: “Writing for the web” and “Coming up with a flawless Radio Voice”. He was accompanied by Mr. Adil Chquiri, 2M’s Head of Marketing Department with whom participants had a working session on “The presence of 2M on social networks”. Day 4’s workshop paved the way to the challengies faced mainstream media under the supervision of Mr El K. Mohammed, former Sound Engineer at 2M and War Journalist who have covered close to ten conflicts accross the world. On Friday 13, participants dwelled on the use of smartphones in the news room with an emphasis on shooting and a brief introduction on layout.
